ram speed looks like half what it should be

bought a used thinkpad t61 laptop with 2gb ddr2 ram and a t7300 cpu processor

using CPU-Z program, i checked 'memory' and it shows dual channel, symmetric, and ' dram frequency 332.5 mhz dual channel'

not the 667 mhz i was expecting ?

    Detailed specifications - ThinkPad T61, T61p

maybe this is normal? or do i maybe have bad ram or a bad setting somewhere?

You have to divide the speed (667 MT/s) by 2, as it is dual channel. You get ~333 MHz.
