There are some excellent PCI slot sound cards around. I have an HT Omega "Striker 7.1" sound card which is PCI. It is Win 7 compatible. Newegg.com - HT | OMEGA STRIKER 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card

The video card, your Radeon HD4650, has nothing to do with sound unless you are using HDMI for video and sound.

You seem to be confusing the two. Other than possibly 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound, the integrated sound on your PC is probably good for most games.

Card not working in first PCI-E slot
Hello everybody. Since sending a motherboard in for rma is both money-sink (need to ship it to them, a replacement unit and to reinstall windows) and an excruciating wait (weeks? months?) I'd like to try absolutely everything I can before I do. Two months ago everything was working fine, then...

PCI Express 3.0 card in 2.0 slot
Not a compatibility question, I'm fairly certain that wouldn't be an issue. The question is about overall performance gain. Looking at a Radeon R9 270, currently have a 5670. Here's a benchmark comparison from hwcompare.com - now I'm not a heavy gamer but I am running a mod on a particular favorite...

Laptop Expresscard 34 to PCI slot adapter for Sound card
My old Soundblaster Audigy 4 sound card was great, yet now that I switched from desktop PC to my Toshiba 850L laptop, I cannot use this (expensive) sound card anymore and have to put up with inferior sound cards. Since I am still young and in the past did all my recordings with that card, I...

PCI-E x16 Graphics Card to Fit a PCI-E slot.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone here has tried this, I have a spare monitor and wondering what you think about doing this. I have an OLD ATI Graphics card (fits PCIE of course) and I know it will work but wondering if it's worth the effort. My 560ti has only a 2 monitor capability and just 1...

Question regarding moving sound card from 1 pcie slot to another
I would like to move my sound card above the GPU. Right now it's under it, because I thought it wouldn't fit up there with my new water cooler. But there seems to be more than enough room. So my question is, once I move the sound card from one slot to another, do I have to reinstall the drivers or...

Insert sound card into PCI Express 2.0 slot possible?
Hello everyone, I am currently sitting here with a dilemma. The problem I am facing takes back two weeks where I got my new graphic card MSI 560Ti. I have a CoolerMaster HAF 922 case, my PSU is relatively small but compared to my older graphic card the new one is absolutely massive. I also uses...
