    Nvidia nForce problem

I've been tinkering in the device manager and decided to upgrade all the things that were in list until I reach "Nvidia nForce Serial ATA Controller", that contained a driver update and I updated it. When the computer restarted I noticed a longer boot (almost 3minutes to start up rofl), a lot of instability and as strange as it seems the computer was quite slow due to this update. Obviously I reverted to the driver I had previously installed (from 18.08.2008) and everything went back to normal but I just wanted to know if this is normal and if I should do this update again but just changing some options or don't even update it?

Honestly if the driver works, and games run fine the most of us will suggest to leaving it. You may be a bit annoyed like me, and want the latest everything. So 1st i suggest checking the acer site for drivers, and if not this should do the trick : NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products
    *****Will need java to run*****
If the same issue occurs, then just rollback. If the driver works fine, there's not much to worry about

Well I get the same results if I update from the nvidia website and the acer website too, the computer gets very slow so I think I'm good with the default drivers that the computer came with.
