    G62's common freeze problem

Just aquired a G62 -347CL W7 64 bit home premium with similar issue
The unit is in great shape and i got it at a good price.
    the problem:

powers up does take some time booting but looks normal
Online via mozilla firefox or IE and after a couple of minutes that window freezes, click again on it the window image is grayed out, .i can move the mouse but it keeps "loading" with the blue circle spinning.
Opening a doc folder or something not internet related but it will eventually freeze too until i cannot open anything else.

After a minute or 3, each window becomes responsive again like nothing ever happened. But will freeze again at some point.
Sometimes when opening a new window or folder I also get a quick flicker but the LCD seems solid as does the main case etc.
as i was writing this it froze again i waited a minute and it became responsive again.
I made a boot disc as soon as got the unit home and don't have much on the HD yet.
but i do not have the W7 discs since this was a pre installed OS when it was bought.

Tried the non-MS services uncheck to boot method but without any luck
    defraged,ran, HDD
    Ran Mem tests, Malware scan,
Seen several 'amd sata error' in a log somewhere though.
changed that driver to MS ACHI
    After all of the above:
    no remedy yet.
Here are a series of screenshot in the event -activity log:
the first two are just at the start of of the freeze and the last are after it released.

Any help is much appreciated since this otherwise seems to be a great laptop.
