Devices and Printers not showing up

I downloaded the latest Windows update just a bit ago. When the comp rebooted I had an Adobe Flash update (which I installed). Rebooted, then opened Word to print out a document and it couldn't locate any printers. Tried to "Add printer" and got the error "The Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable."

Perplexed, I decided to check my printers in Devices and Printers--and it is no longer there! Not that I click on Devices and Printers and it is black--the Devices and Printers option is no longer there when I click on the Start menu.

I uninstalled the Flash update and rebooted but that didn't bring anything back. Do I need to uninstall the entire Windows update next (it was a big update).

    I'm using Windows 7 32 bit.

Also, I went into Services to check the Print Spooler Service, and it is not listed at all.

    What I would try next.
    SFC /SCANNOW
    ----------------
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
If that didn't work I would remove the Adobe Flash just installed and reboot.

Yeah, tried that. I also just did a System File Checker (src/scannow) from the Command Prompt. It found one corrupted file which made me think the problem was solved. But a re-boot didn't do it!

I suspect the problem might be in the Print Spooler Service not working. More digging.

Next step would be this: Repair Install
