    USB Locks Up Win 7

So here is the deal, I am using Win7 64 bit RTM on my HP s5120f. Sometimes when I plug in a USB flash drive, or card reader, or even use the built in card reader, it completely locks up and I have to shut it down. Is this a hardware or software problem? It is starting to really bug me...

    M2N68-LA Motherboard BIOS Update
    08-2009
    5.49

Check your BIOS version and try to find the latest NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 driver.

The bios update does not work, it says I do not meet the requirements. I updated the other driver though.

I understand. The tool for applying the update is seeing Win7. You could try compatibilty mode - BUT... first test to see if your problems have been addressed.

The date of the BIOS update is telling.

Well it's working now. Turned out to be the USB drivers. I used DriverMax and that fixed it. Thanks for the help though.
