    ram speed support???

    i have a motherboard (asrock h61m-vs) that supports DDR3 1066/1333/1600/2400 mhz
but i looked at my processor (intel g620) memory support at intel it supports 1066 mhz ram it didn't mention any other speeds

but in youtube's gameplays they use the same processor like mine but they use 1333/1600 mhz, so can it work fine

Worry about what the motherboard supports. That's the important part.

Not so much anymore. That just means that the options for it are present in the bios. You have to remember that the memory controller is now integrated into the CPU and not on the motherboard.

As to whether 1600 MHz memory will work with that CPU without issue, no idea.

I didn't think the G20 had an integrated memory controller, and memory can almost always be downclocked, if need be. Memory support in a processor, at least when stated as a support speed, was always it's optimal pairing, I thought.

As far as I know all Intel CPU's since Nehalem have had an integrated memory controller.
