Motherboard's rear USB 3.0 ports not working

Hello,

My new motherboard's USB 3.0 ports do not work. Its a new FM2 socket motherboard:
ASRock FM2A75M-DGS

I'm ok with computers, but... In my 'Device Manager' (see attachment under "other devices") it says there is no drivers installed.

I cant find any 3.0 drivers at ASRock's website
ASRock > FM2A75M-DGS

What is that ASRock XFast USB Utility ver:3.02.30? Have you tried that?

I am not liking ASrocks idea of the "All-In-One" driver package. And it is for just this reason. What if you want to install or change just one of the drivers? You might try installing that package again if the above utility is not the one. Maybe it will give you options.

Also check carefully through the UEFI BIOS setup settings. Look for anything related to USB3. Maybe you need to enable something there.

The XFast utility is just some fancy programe that speeds up 3.0 transfer speeds; I beleive you have to run the program everytime to use the speed boost. I personally do not wish to download any "utility" mumbo jumbo stuff.

As for the "All-In-One" driver package, thats more of AMDs fault. However - this fixed my issue The USB drivers where in that suite; for some silly reason I thought it was just the AMD's graphics, control, catalytic and other such features. You can actually choose a "custom" install/un-install each individual driver, so its not so bad - other than confusing the heck out of me by doing things "differently".

Just glad its something stupid silly

Yeah, thats how Intel does it. I don't much like this "all-in-one" AMD utility.

Like you said, at least you can install them "normally" in a custom install. That is not so bad (I guess).
Glad you got it up and running!
