Mouse locks up on 7, okay on Vista and safe mode

This is long because I wanted to let you know the steps I have seen and tried. My Windows 7 starting locking up while using the mouse. I removed the USB wireless receiver, set aside the wireless mouse and keyboard and went to the hard wired unts, same problem. Mouse works on Safe mode. I did a memory check that came out good. Tried a factory bios reset, no joy. I then tried a System restore and it came back that it could not restore at the date that was picked and suggested a earlier date, tried a earlier saved restore date, appeared to work until rebooting, came back starting Windows, when it came to the black screen it hung up. Removed the hard drive and placed in another computer with a working Windows 7 as a secondary drive, when computer was turned on, Windows 7 did a scan on the hard drive and found a error and repaired it (should have tried a scandisk earlier). Placed drive back in the original computer and reloaded with Vista, mouse works and the partitioned drive was back with its files. Ran it for several days, worked okay. installed Service pack one and reloaded Windows 7, problem returns, mouse locking up. Installed a new hard drive and reloaded the drive with a Windows 7 installation disk, same problem, mouse locks up but will work in safe mode. In reply to another member about the mouse, it is the original HP mouse P/N 5188-7239, the hardwired mouse is MS mouse, also tried anothe wireles, sameo, sameo

Well I'm no expert but it sure would help if you filled in your specs completely and inform us what mouse you are using.
Use this little free program for specs.
Speccy - System Information - Free Download
At the top of the page use User CP to install the specs.
    --------------
Look on the bottom of the mouse for information which one it is.
