i have i eee pc i have noticed that my C: drive is only 99.9 gb and the Recovery D: is 122gb and empty i know this is not right but how doi fix it i am running out of space on my C:in disk manigment it says 232.88 gb with 4 diferent partitions only 2 named how can i fix this with no reinstall or loss of files

Before this ends in tears, post a screen capture image of your Disk Management screen, so we can get a better picture of the story.
Why do you say your recovery partition is empty?

Well I'll take a shot at it....from your screen shot, I'm just as confused as you are. Did you get this eee pc brand new? If so, when you set it up the first time did it ask you to configure your hard and partition it.
My suggestion is; save any data you want to keep and then make a list of software you've downloaded and purchased along with any product keys that are associated with the software. Then I would do a factory reset of the OS. This will make it like the day you first turned it on. Then check for partitions, if they are the same, I would merge all of them into one except for the recovery partition. Then you should have just the C: with the recovery partition D: drive.
thats one solution but cant i "disable " one partition and resize it to "merge" it
if you don't care about voiding warranty, you can shrink or even remove D and the other partitions you see and increase C to fill that space. This tutorial explains how to do that.
Be very careful as if you delete or format C by mistake you lose all your data.
Personally, I think someone screwed up something there. You sure you didn't use any partition tools?
i origanly thourght that some one had but its my stepmums and she dosent touch the control panel with out me

Sorry for the late reply - I missed your Disk Management post. It looks like the New Volume is superfluous and can be deleted. Before you do that, check the contents of this partition in Windows Explorer. Does it contain anything?
