Dual Layer disks burned in Vista not playing in W7

I burned a dual layer disk in Vista with pictures as a backup, now having upgraded the PC to Windows 7, same drive devices and software, the disk is only read about half way thru' then hangs. Any suggestions?

Drive is a TSST Corp SH-S223B and I can't find firmware updates, I assume the device is obsolete!

Thanks,
Ken
