Nvidia GTX HDMI to Samsung TV, check signal cable
Hello
I just bought a new computer with a geforce 570 GTX with a mini hdmi output. This i wanted to connect to my samsung TV. First off, my PC only recognises a second monitor when my TV is connected at boot.
When i try to select HDMI source on the TV it's greyed out and i can't select it, because the TV doesnt detect a signal. I found a workaround for this, as i connect my laptop to my tv through HDMI (which works flawlessly), select source --> HDMI, then unplug my laptop, and plugin my new computer to the same input - meanwhile not touching the channels on the TV.
Now i get a picture on the TV from my new computer, it's crystal clear and actually works - but there is an error message across the TV screen: check signal cable - which never goes away. In addition the source HDMI is greyed out again, so if i navigate away from the source, i can't select it again. It seems like my TV doesnt detect that there actually are a signal, even though it's displaying it.
For troubleshooting i tried this: Tried 3 different cables of different lengths. My laptop to TV works flawlessly through HDMI - so it's not the port on the TV thats faulty. I tried connecting my new computer to my friends TV (a prosonic), and it works.
So i think it has to do with the combination of my new computer and my TV - as they apparantly works separately.
I also tried updating the firmware on my TV to the latest version. I tried updating GTX drivers (even tried a few older versions as well).
My new computer.
My TV: Samsung LE32B465B2W
I have googled my self to oblivion and searched different boards, but haven't been able to find a solution. A GREAT THANKS in advance to anyone who can solve this.
