Hi,

You aren't being clear about what you are trying to do.

Are you wanting to install Windows to the new HDD? If so, unplug/disconnect the current HDD. Check in the BIOS to make sure the new HDD shows up.

Report back.

Regards,
Golden

Is your cable plugged in snugly? Also if required is there a power cord plugged in (do you hear it start up when you turn your computer on?). Also check to make sure your motherboard supports it. Mine won't read 6.0 SATA drives.
