Windows 7: Video flashes briefly on TV then disappears?

Video flashes briefly on TV then disappears?

I'm really at my wits end here, confused and highly frustrated.

I went out today and bought myself a new TV, the model is HL50K316PZL3D (Hisense 3D LED LCD).

The TV works fine (looks great actually) and my PS3 and Wii work as intended but my HTPC is causing me grief. All my peripherals are currently connected via an receiver (Pioneer VSX 919 AH). The PS3 and Wii work fine but my HTPC throws a fit.

I either get the "No Signal Detected" screen or the desktop flashes up momentarily and then I get a "No Signal Detected" message. If I plug the HTPC straight into the TV I have no problems but I would rather not bypass the receiver because I want to keep using my current set up.

I've done some reading and EDID might be to blame? I've got dumps from both the receiver and the TV if that helps, it's driving me crazy and I'm really frustrated and upset because I just want to use my new TV sigh....

Video is coming from my HTPC using an nVidia GTX275 running latest drivers over HDMI. As usual multiple cables and ports tested, and monitors etc, it's definitely my receiver that is causing the issue just not sure why or how.
