Windows 7: Keyboard no longer connecting/working

Keyboard no longer connecting/working

I have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Keyboard 6000 v2.0. I installed a new update for it in which it downloaded Intellipoint instead of the Microsoft Keyboard software and it stopped working. I then did a system restore to go back to the previous version and it still doesn't work. It says under Intellipoint that it is working properly and everything is connecting, it just won't work. I have hit the connect button on the receiver, I have hit the connect button on the keyboard itself and nothing. I tried Microsoft's suggestions to switch the USB port I plug the receiver in and Microsoft states that it installed the new software successfully but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?
