Old HDD still has system in active partition. Need to move to new SSD

    Windows 7 64bit

So I recently install a new SSD (Disk 1) into my laptop and loaded the OS onto it. I still have my old HDD (Disk 0) in my sata drive. Disk 0 has the system commands in the partition still and I would like to format this drive to free up room. I can't figure out how to relocate the system property to Disk 1 and though I am all around good with computers, I don't trust myself a whole lot with this because if I screw it up I'll have some serious boot issues. Any input on how to move the system property to Disk 1 would be great. I found this thread Changing Win7 System/Boot Partition without Reinstall but I want to make sure the comment by SIW2 will work in my situation.

    Thanks again

I'd unplug drives other than the SSD and boot the Windows 7 DVD or Repair CD to confirm the boot partition is marked Active and run Startup Repair 3 Separate Times.
