    Lost Hard Drive

    Hi,

I have just installed a Seagate 3 TB hard drive and realised that it would only show 2TB. Anyhow I was using the Seagate (Acronis) software to set up the drive and extend the volume and went through adding new disc and set up as a GPT layout and it completed that and wanted to reboot which it did and I could see it was doing it's thing in the boot process.

When it booted back up I noticed that I had lost the volume on my raid drive which has all my data on it such as music, film and personal documents. The raid is still intact and if I open up the Seagate Drivecleanser it shows data there. I have attached the capture for you to see and the computer management capture.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.
Disc 0 - C Drive is OCZ SSD
Disc 1 - New 3 TB Seagate Drive
Disk 2 - Was my E drive that had all data
Disc 3 - Rest of 3 TB Drive

Is there a way of restoring the volume without losing it or will I have to use software to try and recover it?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi again,

I have recovered the partition. Phew!! My heart was racing there for a while. I am going to back all this up now.

Just to let everyone who is interested know I used an amazing piece of software called Easus partition master and it was inside of that I used the partition recovery wizard. It took about thirty seconds to achieve.

    Thanks for looking everyone.
