Windows 7: Having real troubles with my Fatal1ty headset (jacks not usb)

I got the headset about 3 months ago and tried to set it up then, but I had problems with it and wasn't able to. I tried again today, but the same thing happened and I'm getting pretty frustrated. The headphones work fine, but the mic isn't being detected. The only mic that is being detected is the built in one on my webcam. The mic isn't muted, so I really don't know what the problem is.
