Unmountable boot volume but it seems ok, maybe.

Hi,.. I've got an unmountable boot volume message on boot up of my C:/ which is a 500GB WD Raptor. I've tried to get it to boot up all day. Last known good config, Safe Mode, System Repar Disk and the Win7 Disk. No luck so I just pulled it out and put it in an external, connected to my ASUS Laptop. I can see the WD Raptor 500GB. It's denying me access to the information but it's partitioned it, and called it System Reserve which include three folders: Boot, System Volume Information and Temp. I'm just running a Check Disk on it now.

Question: What happened??.. and is it stuffed???

I've got the HDD active again and it's back in desktop. It's looping CHDSK and recovering orphaned file, File record segment is unreadable, and other similar tasks. Then reboots into windows. Then wants to run CHDSK again. So I cancel that and that's as far as I can get. Flashes blue screen and start to reboot again. Is the HDD to damaged??
