Having attached my HP iPAQ RX3715 to the USB port of my laptop, I was very pleasantly surprised that Windows automatically detected the
drivers and software to be installed and did this in a wizard like fashion walking me through the options to connect the PDA to my laptop.
However, I temporarily uninstalled the software, since I won't be synchronizing regularly with the PDA through this particular laptop, and, tried connecting through the USB again. Funnily enough no prompt is being given when the device is being reconnected.
I would speculate that the
driver information are not completely cleared up from the registry when the de-installation is done (through Programs and Features), and, this leads to not being able to configure settings for my PDA again. I would prefer not to do a complete re-installation of the OS.
