Everybody always has high hopes for AMD processors, and they are always let down. In my opinion, they always will be.
Haswell will probably have a decent bump in performance, but will have such powerful graphics they will start closing the gap between Intel and AMD as far as on-chip graphics are concerned. AMD will continually produce processors with a bunch of cores, but not much overall horsepower and they will price them starting at about $250 and below.
