Multiple USB mouses on one computer?

11/13/2012, Google tricked me into thinking they put a new multi-mouse feature into their
web browser Chrome called Chrome Multitask Mode and when i went to try it out i thought there was something wrong with it and when i clicked "Exit Multitask Mode" The following appeared on my screen: "April Fools! Chrome Multitask Mode doesn't exist (yet).
But your friends might think it does..."
DOES ANYONE HAVE A ALTERNATIVE!?!?!?!?

Logitech sells wireless keyboards and mice (mouses? meeses?) that come with their Unifying receiver. This system allows up to six compatible devices from one tiny USB receiver. A small software package is needed to sync the devices to the receiver. I have two mice (Logitech M525) synced to my notebook (and they both work at the same time although one is a spare I keep in my notebook's carry case). For excrement and merriment, I had four synced to the receiver and all four could be on at once and able to operate. I also have two mice (M505; I'll be replacing them soon with M525s) and a keyboard synced to my desktop (the second mouse is for use as a remote). Each device can be synced to only one receiver; you can't have one work on two receivers (don't ask how I know).

I just only want that feature in separate software.

At this time, as far as I know, Windows will only ever display the one cursor on the screen. You can plug multiple pointing devices in but they will all only ever move the one on screen cursor. They won't work independently.

Windows without 3rd party applications, you mean.

If an application disguises itself as either the mouse or a touchscreen, and you manage to assign it the feed from pointing devices, then the application will know where each cursor is while giving Win7 only info about where it has to click.

Microsoft provides a SDK called multipoint which is aimed at that so it's definitely possible, but I'm still puzzled at what multipoint does exactly, as SDK are packages with stuff to develop programs, not actual programs.

TeamPlayer3 is a fully fledged application, and contrary to Google's jokes, it works. It's a bit on the expensive side though.

Another software that does it is called pluralinput, it is free but still in beta (may be buggy).

There was a thing called CPN mouse that worked for Xp (and with some tweaking in win 7) but seems like it has disappeared from the net.

Because you have had a Joke put on your computer I'm thinking you could also have gotten a infection. I would run security scans for sure. If you need suggestions on what programs to scan with just ask.

Nah it isn't an infection.
It's just Google trying to see if some new tech has a market with a "joke" the first of april.

You wouldn't expect it from google huh?
