Motherboard won't detect my sound card

I recently changed my OS to Windows 7 x86 from Windows XP on my podunk 2002 Gateway. Suddenly, it wouldn't play sounds and said there was no sound device. I thought I needed a driver for my Creative Sound Blaster card but I don't think any of my PCI slots are working because it won't even recognize its there. I can't find PCI drivers that work. Please help.

    System Model: Gateway E-6000 4000782
    Board: Intel Corporation D850EMV2 AAA87987-401

About the only chance you have for drivers for that card,

SB Live! series Support Pack 1.5 (08/09/2009) - Creative Labs

as there will never be an official Windows 7 driver coming for it from Creative. Also you may have to install the driver manually to get it to work. See my post here,

    problem soundblaster xfi titanium

even the INF name is the same.

Thank you for the help. I found a driver and its installed and my computer thinks everything is okay, but no sound is made. I checked Windows Audio Services and they're on. I checked Digital Output only and plugged my digital speakers into the SPDIF jack and no sound comes. When I plug a stereo speaker into a normal jack and allow analog audio, the speaker plays so I think the sound card is truly connected to my computer and the driver is working.
Everything worked fine when I had Windows XP. I don't think my speakers or my digital output jack suddenly broke for no reason.
I don't know what to do. Get new speakers? A new sound card? I'm going to try to figure out if my speakers are actually broken somehow. I'll keep posting.

Did you try reseating the PCI card? Or maybe try another PCI slot?

Yes I have. I've tried that about a million times in all the slots in my computer.

Camarão, has anybody tried this for a PCI card? I see it is for the integrated on your motherboard. No idea if there is a difference, but good to know.

Just hope that if and when lowenbehold sees this he doesn't try the driver that camaraododesert posted, as it won't work with his card.
