Can this bios startup item be disabled at computer startup

The attached jpg is the 1st item that launches in the bios screens at system star-up. This I think is the driver for a pci card I have installed in a slot in the box that controls (ie-adds another ide port) a second ide CD/DVD drive.

Besides removing the card from the box...is there a way in bios setup to disable this card/slot at system start ?

Having an issue with a windows application that apparently won't deal with a 'raid' type setup...even tho I have no 'raid' setup at all...except for 'raid' being mentioned in bios screen shot attached ?

    Thanks....TiminAz

No there is nothing in the bios to disable. The controller card has to initialize first for the bios to be able to see it.

Check the BIOS setup options for that card. It has its own separate BIOS and setup screen. I've used an IDE PCI RAID card in the past. Once it was all setup correctly all you got was a quick "Press F2 to enter RAID setup" message and then the normal PC BIOS took over and the PC booted up normally.
