Ok i installed the driver, and then plugged it in, and it started picking up some wireless networks but at very low signal and i couldn't connect to any of them. So like you said i restarted the computer and when i logged back in its not working and isn't picking anything up. I go to the network and sharing setting and the adapter says "disabled" and i try enable it and it doesn't do anything.

Edit i restarted it again and i can now again pick up some wireless signals and i am connected to my main one. I was on internet for like 1-2 mins and it has disconnected again and now i can't get back on it, i ran a Wdinows Network Diagnostics and i got that 3 quick deep beeps again and it says network adapter is expericing some problems. and it tells me to plug a Ethernet cable in which defeats the object. Now the connections totally lost and i can't pick anything up and everythings disabled and disconnected.

Also the device is still flashing but not picking anything up.

Yes this is annoying - have you contacted Belkin support directly on this matter? - I have dealt with them on issues previously and always found them extremely helpful - they offer a lifetime warranty on all their devices so it is in their interest to ensure that support is up to the mark.

back to the original issue though ..

when installing the last time did you remove the old files as I suggested? this is normally an essential with network driver install.

One other thing that may or may not help is the actual port that the device is plugged into - Not all USB ports are created equal and a change of port can occasionally make all the difference. I did not suggest this earlier as I am assuming that you are using the same port that worked previously with vista

i thought i got it working then, i was using it for like 45 mins and again it disconnected and now i can't pick anything up i am getting so annoyed, and even more annoyed that i can't downgrade to vista.

    Edit:
I switched the usbs around i had my iphone plugged in aswell and its now connected to the internet again, but i can't hope it will stay like that for long...

USB adapter disconnects after computer standby

cant seem to find my same problem occuring in the forum....
    new computer, windows 7.
installed (online) Belkin driver (most recent I guess) and its working great, but.....
after I come back to computer and "wake it up" out of sleep, the Belkin shows no connectivity. Not really a problem but theres isnt a fast/easy way to get it reconnected other than "troublshoot" which will go through checks and then 'reset' the adapter and al is fixed. With XP i just right clicked and re-connected or refreshed or something that was quick and painless.

Any settings adjustment anywhere to keep USB adapter connected all the time?

Hate to tell you this but I have 3 of the belkin usb adapters gathering dust because I can not get them working properly. Some folks have, depending upon the chipset that belkin used. Some have ESL, Ralink, etc.
I just loaded up a linksys usb adapter and haven't had any problems.

    Hi

I found a resolution for myself somewhere on different site

Basically I've uninstalled the anti virus protection, and restarted computer, installed the USB wireless Adapter and Installed the Anti virus and all works perfect.

Hope this helps you and good luck
