Windows 7: Acer laptop screen does nothing

Hi guys, I have been asked to look at a laptop for a customer at work regarding his laptop screen.

I know this is probably not the best place to put this, but you guys in here are always a great help so I trust this place over anywhere else



So, Apparently it just stopped working one time when he turned it on.
So far I have hooked it up to a TV through HDMI and a monitor through VGA, pressed FN + F5/F6, and tried the same holding them in for a while and it does not do anything on the screens.

When the laptop itself turns on, it does the usualy quiet beeps etc as things start to load, but nothing comes up. The screen does not even light black, it is just completely off.

I am not sure if this is a hardware problem or what. I expected with me linking this to my TV etc it would at least give me a picture.

The laptop is an Acer Aspire 5536
