Wired 360 controller won't read on one pc but works on another

Yesterday about 10mins after my internet was fixed,my main laptop suddenly cut off my controller.I used it on this laptop all year with no issues till yesterday.
Every time I plugin the controller now it gets usb error code 43(not recognized). And it silently creates a restore point with "Installed Directx" every time I plug controller in
    1-I uninstalled & reinstalled driver,nothing.
2-I tried a restore back to 7 days ago, nothing changed.
    3-I ran directx,nothing yet again.
4-Tried every port with nothing else connected, nothing.
5-I tried unplugging everything, shutting down, holding down power to drain,& waiting 1-3hrs before turning laptop back on.Didn't work either.
All my games have been installed over a month ago, never had this issue.

At first I thought well maybe the controller took a dump.Plugged it in my ol gateway & it worked flawlessly. So negative on bad controller.
I tried all usb ports & get the 43 code still with controller. My flash & external drives read & work fine on all ports. So its definitely not bad usb ports either.

Can someone please help me get this working again without doing a complete clean reinstall over this one small issue?Everything else on the laptop is just fine.

I personally use a PS3 controller on my computer for gaming.

With Motionjoy's drivers, you can emulate an XBox 360 controller. Everything works fine for me, and I enjoy the extra tilty-axis.

It could be that you need to reinstall your USB drivers?

Perhaps you botched a BIOS setting without even realizing it?

Reinstalling your OS isn't a big deal at all. It takes at most 30 minutes, and your computer will love you for it.

1ST of all - try to download - Ubunto - Just to check if your "USB" port is fine ...
( you can try to plug a DOC ( Disk On Key ) and see if it is working ) ...
if it doesn't - try to plug your device into another usb port in your laptop\stand alone Portable Computer ...

If the Usb port is OK - try to delete all your drivers that belongs to that Xbox
You can check "Google" For softwares that can be very helpful when trying to get rid of
    old drivers trash files ...

Hope it'll work ----- Hope to hear from your again ...
If you want links for these softwares ( Ubunto - and more )
please contact me in private ...
    thanks ...
