| | External drive not working after format Hi guys, I have a Buffalo HD-LB3 3TB external harddrive. My main goal is to get it to work with my xbox 360. I was able to get it to work on my blueray player but it is not found by my Xbox. I have formatted it to Fat32 and I have partitioned it into two pieces, 1.8 TB and 1.1 TB. Still nothing is working. Please help me, thank you for your time! |

| | I am not sure, this is my first time doing any sort of formatting. Would you mind explaining how to check for bad sectors. I used EaseUS partition master to change in to Fat32 so im not entirely sure. Thank you for the speedy reply. |

| | Does it work on your computer? I have no experience with Xbox's but I would try to troubleshoot it on your PC rather than the Xbox. |

| | You should still be able to see it connected. Not to mention that you can use Linux to browse it. |

| | It works perfectly fine on my windows 7 64-bit. Online I found many people who have been able to get it to work on a xbox. All they have done is format it in Fat32. Thank you for the responses. |

| | Maybe that's why it's not working then. From what patio states that Xbox uses a different filesystem it probably shouldn't work on a PC (unless the Filesystem is supported which FAT32 is). |

| | All i know is if you take a HDD out of an existing XBox and try to use it in a PC the drive has to be fixed so it works... On that note i would think it has to be done in the reverse order for it to work properly... Disclaimer: Never had an XBox...never will...just going on what i;ve read. |
