Need some help on hard drives set up as RAID

I have two harddrives that were set up under a Raid configuration. The computer they were in went bad. I am trying to wipe these clean and format them so I can use in a computer I will be using for 7. My current desktop can see the drives (placed in an HD reader, computer sees them as one drive). However it states that the drive is not ready or formatted. I would like to format each of these drives and not use them as a RAID setup. How can I format these two drives separately?
