    RAW hard drive help?

    Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help with this.

I'm having a problem with one of my drives. I tried copying some files across to it the other day, a few of them did copy but before it completed it seemed to lock up and not copy the last files. I've tried it a few more times with different files and every time it is the same. I tried running CHKDSK and it says the drive is RAW. I have a lot of movies on the drive and I can access and play some them. I have also found an empty directory on the drive that I can't delete.

Any ideas what has happen and if I can fix it?

The drive could be failing. Don't write anything else to this drive. You state that you have movies and possibly other data on it. I would see if you can copy over to a new/replacement drive as much as possible before you lose them.
