dunno, but here you cannot give back anything if the packaging is damaged (expensive devices have a warranty, so you can return them and have refunds and whatnot). This means you usually get away with returning box-like stuff where you can re-package it and remove signs of tampering, but for plastic sealed things is impossible to try and return if not satisfied.

I'm happy with the performance/quality, but since I run Firefox and VMs, I find that I need more RAM (my OS is 64 bit too).
I settled for 4 GB, because I was strapped for cash at the time.
About 2 months later, the price of RAM plummeted.

Unfortunately I'm not a big spender, so they don't have to keep me happy.
A lot of businesses don't "play by the rules" and unless you get the Government to take action against them, they are quite happy to p*** off one or two customers.

I'd rather avoid the inconvenience by getting it right the first time.

G-Skill Ares

I installed my new RAM on the weekend:
8GB DDR3 1333 G-Skill Ares F3-1333C9D-8GAO (4GB x 2)
My friend was building a new desktop for his workplace and he bought a G-Skill Ares F3-1600C9D-8GAO (4GB x 2) for it.
Interestingly enough, even though my MB is supposed to support DDR3 1600 RAM, that RAM caused my PC to spit the dummy.
