RAW hard drive help?

Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help with this.

I'm having a problem with one of my drives. I tried copying some files across to it the other day, a few of them did copy but before it completed it seemed to lock up and not copy the last files. I've tried it a few more times with different files and every time it is the same. I tried running CHKDSK and it says the drive is RAW. I have a lot of movies on the drive and I can access and play some them. I have also found an empty directory on the drive that I can't delete.

Any ideas what has happen and if I can fix it?

The drive could be failing. Don't write anything else to this drive. You state that you have movies and possibly other data on it. I would see if you can copy over to a new/replacement drive as much as possible before you lose them.

As dwarf said i would get as much of as you can before you do anything then you can hit your drive manufacturers website for their software to analyse the disk for you may give you some more info as to state of drive
