    How can I turn on Elan smart pad for win7?


    My little daughter were messing with my laptop the other day and somehow turned off the smart pad. The laptop were turned off and she turned it on and fingered with it (it turned on and I have a user password to open it.) and when I turned it back on the smart pad didn't work anymore. Do Ihave to update the drivers or what? The pcsays it's updated, but still don't work. I have used both wireless and smart pad without any problems. Any tip on how to turn it back on? Have tried the souse section on controll panel without results. I feel handicapped witout the smart pad since I finally have get used to using it. HELP!!

    There is usually a 'hot key' on most laptops to turn it on or off. If that does not work, download the driver for your laptop from the manufacturers web site and install it. I had to do that with my Wife's this morning. And welcome to Seven Forums.

    It is different on each manufacturer's brand. It should be in the manual if it has it.

I currently have a PC with a failed MoBo/PSU (on another Seven forum thread). I know in the past with older OS versions, they didn't like it if you changed/upgraded the MoBo to a different type (i.e. chipset, etc.), because the MoBo (Windows OS) drivers that were in place when it was originally...
I use a software for work with a couple drivers associated with software and at random times a BSOD will appear. I thought I would come here and see if I can get help. Im not so good at figuring out computer problems. Windows 7 . . . -64 original OS I bought the hardware 4 months ago.
It doesn't work because it cannot load EIO.dll. And it can't do that because it's not a signed driver. How can it be overriden? Has anyone got this program to work on Windows 7 x64
