    Need internal WLAN card reco - stocker dead.


    hi folks - I have a dell inspiron laptop with an Intel PRO WLAN card inside, and it no worky anymore. not sure what happened to it, but all things software cannot get it to function - its there; the drivers are loaded [latest greatest from intel] but it cannot receive a signal.
    Fortunately on this laptop its easy to get to it and R/R

    it uses a molex connector, spring retainers, so pretty standard easy thing.
    my Question is : WHICH? which card would be best in today's market?

    If the card is being read by the machine, the problem may not be the card itself. Have you tried a USB adapter?

    yes, works fine with a usb ralink stick. ethernet works fine.
    just the wlan internal is numb...

Is there such thing as a onboard wireless network card for desktop? I goggled it and it only mentioned laptops and stuff
Everything is allright, even the woofer makes sound when system checks all the speakers but all other cases there is no sound from the subwoofer. I've tried a lot. Installed so many drivers to get the bass redirection which I used to have in XP. Please help me by telling me a way to get the sound...
