Also delete LowerFilters and NoInstall Class.
In device mgr, right click on the DVD drive and click Uninstall.
Shut down your PC and open the computer.
Remove the DVD drive cable from both the ends and replug it. If possible, try another cable.
If still doesn't work, plug the DVD drive on a different port.

    Hope this helps,
    Dinesh.

    Try this :
You may need to download and install the latest intel matrix storage manager software/driver because AHCI is more than likely enabled in your bios, and what happens during installation of W7 is W7 installs the Intel driver, but for correct functionality you need to install the intel matrix storage manager after installation is complete if you dont it will cause problems. I haven't seem it fix a problem where there is unknown device, but you maybe lucky, and you need to install it in any case, so post back - if you get an error saying it doesnt meet the minimum requirements it isnt turned on in the bios. Also did you let it search your recovery disk for a driver.

You will find it at the intel site - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
Select chipsets - chipset software - intel(R) matrix storage manager - Select Operating System - select Windows 7 (64bit OR 32 bit) - select drivers - select intel(R) matrix storage manager 8.9.0.1023 - download and install.
(make sure you don't download the floppy configuration utility by mistake) - it will show up if you select utilities.

If this doesnt work you could contact acer as your laptop is W7 supported. Driver page - you need to input your notebooks name: http://us.acer.com/acer/service.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&miu10einu24.current.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&sp=page15e&ctx2.c2att1=25&mi u10ekcond13.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&CountryISOCtxParam=US&ctx1g.c2att92=453&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=2054404012
There is a bios update there that may need to be installed.

Weird and the intel download centre isnt working properly also - i think its refering to the intel chipset software installation utility - maybe you should update it firstly - the latest is v 9.1.1.1025
