Freezing during a game -- "unrecoverable driver error"
My specifications:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
AMD Phenom II X4 955 -- 55-60°C when gaming
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz
MSI 870A-G54 (MS-7599) (CPU1)
767MB GeForce GTX 460 (MSI) -- 40-72°C when gaming (depends on game)
466GB Seagate ST3500418AS ATA Device (SATA)
This freeze occurs in any game I play. I recently had a problem with my system overheating, the CPU reaching max temperatures (65°C), but I fixed that by vaccuuming the insides of the computer, particularly the fans. No game gives an error message except Guild Wars 2, which only mentions an "unrecoverable driver error". I can't give you the exact error message as of this moment because I have to play for a while before it happens. I'll update this thread as soon as I get the error message again.
I should also note that sometimes the system recovers, resulting in a black screen for a few seconds and then the game starts up again. This at least doesn't mean that the system is tired, because this happened once in Guild Wars 2 (and recovered) and then I kept playing for many hours more.
I hope I've given you sufficient information. Let me know if I haven't.
