I don't know about "best" as that is a matter of opinion in most cases.....I will however, give you some reputable manufacturers.

Motherboards: Asus, MSI, Gigabyte. Some people are having success with higher end ASRock motherboards too.

RAM: Corsair, G. Skill, Mushkin, Kingston

Hard Drive: Do you mean actual HDD or SSD's? For hard drives you have Seagate and Western Digital.

If you tell us a little more about what you are looking to do, we can help you narrow down your search.

I think you may find that at least Motherboards is chipset dependent.
    Motherboards Asus, Asrock
    Ram G Skill, Mushkin, Corsair
Hard drives Western Digital and Seagate, Before Seagate bought them out I would have listed Samsung first.

Buying the best dosen't necessarily mean you get the best. We could make recommendations here all day and you could go with these reccomendations and then recieve faulty goods or under performing hardware..

Anywho here is my list: Board: Asus, Ram : Kingston, HDD: WD

I would disagree with recommending WD due to bad experiences I had with their drives this last year. WD used to be one of the very best, but I had three WD drives fail me this year, one of them only a few months old.

I now go with Seagate -- which I know used to be called "sleazegate" -- but I've had none of the newer ones fail on me.

When getting ready to do a new build the first thing you do is your Homework. It takes quiet awhile to do the study and checking out reviews but that is what you must do. Some guide lines.
    1. How much money to spend
    2. What do I expect or want to do with the computer.
    3. Will my old hardware work with new hardware
    4. Will I need a better power supply
    5. Will I need better cooling
    6. Will my tower be big enough and cool properly with new system.
Look at my system specs. Are they all the best? I still don't know but they are quality.
I or nobody else can do your homework and shopping for you. It took me many hours over a period of a month or so to make my choices.
PS. Doing the homework is part of the fun of building or upgrading a computer.
