Transferring to SSD help--read errors

I just got a new SSD and I need to transfer the files from old HDD (laptop with no windows install disk)

The problem I'm having is that the old HDD is damaged. I can still boot the old HDD and it works but the transfer program that came with my ssd (Apricorn) said it had over 1 million read errors and it was only at 4% with 15+ hours remaining.

I'm not really concerned with the files on the old hd as most of them are on Dropbox all I need to copy is the windows OS.
I'm using win 7 64 bit

Any advice on what I should do now would be appreciated.
