Hi there, I know that someone already opened a thread similar to mine but in my case the issue is s bit different.
I had Windows 7 since the end of 2009 with my old machine, I formatted it alot since then and everything always was fine, then month ago I upgraded my mobo from Asus P7P55D to Asus maximus v gene, and my CPU from Intel I7 860 to Intel I7 3770 .
Everything works great in my new machine Except of the random low file transfer speed from DVD drive to any local HDD, in my case it drop down randomly, it sometimes works great and sometimes drop till it reach to 2,3,4 MB (it never reached the Kb so far), at the beginning I thought it was only one of my DVD drives (I have two) since i plugged it to my Asmedia sata ports (don't ask why but I had to...) and don't use it control
driver which do more harm then any good in Windows 7 for me (ODD won't allways detect disks, will have bigger load times when i want it to display the files that in the disks, will suddeny stop detect the disks till i reput them or restart) But after a while I discovered that even my second DVD drive which had fine transfer speed even on my new mobo start to randomly do the same issue as well.
my transfer speed from HDD to HDD is fine and don't drop at all But when it come to my DVD drives it sometimes works alright and sometimes work slow as hell.
I read in different sites about different solutions
such as this:
Slow data transfer rate from DVD to local HDD - Microsoft Community
but doing it seem more harm then any good as well....
anyone have any idea what i should do?
Thanks in advance!
