a little more hardware info would definitely help out here. Is this a desktop or laptop? What type of webcam and software are you using?

sorry bassfisher 6522 i have slightly misinformed you, as i said my hardware is a windows 7 64 laptop laptop the webcam is actually fine the problem is the lexmark x422 in device manager is only for a 32 bit system when i click on lexmark then click on properties i see this message {this device can not start code 10} also there is some kind of yellow mark covering the device driver

so what i am wondering is this is there any way i can uninstall the 32 bit lexmark and have a 64 bit lexmark peace of software display in device manager
