    My ripjaws 4gb ddr3 rated only 5.9 in WEI? whats wrong?


    here is my system

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    AMD TRINITY A10-5800K
    GIGABYTE GA-F2A75M-D3H
    RIPJAWS-X 4GB 1600Mhz
    SAPPHIRE HD 6670 1GB GDDR5 128BIT
    GENERIC 600w PSU

    **RUNNING IN DUAL GRAPHICS MODE(AMD RADEON HD 7660D + 6670 Dual Graphics)

    my friend's pc has a 7.3 rating for his ram (we have exactly the same ram) while mine is only 5.9?! wtf?
    how can i fix this? please..

    Of course... there's only one stick. So, it's running in single channel. If you install two or more sticks, it should make a difference in WEI since it takes multiple sticks to run double or triple channel.

    Here's my CPU-Z (3x2GB DDR3 Ram on Core i7 950)



    To run in dual channel, in your current setup, you need an additional stick. Adding a 3rd or a 4th stick won't make you go in triple or quadruple channel.

    Once you get another stick and install it, your WEI should improve.

    As said above, dual channel and triple channel cant always be 'felt' by the user, but it does make a diffence in benchmarks because windows can utulise the bandwidth of the 2/3 channels and swap out memory more often(correct if im wrong) and also WEI is very unreliable.it is just for a big picture of your system. Someone might have the exact same setup and score .5 above or below you... If not more
