I can t boot from USB flash anymore

Hi all !

I used to create USB boots using the Program Ultra Iso and boot and install windows with my USB flash.

but this time it isn t possible.

when i choose to boot from USB, a black page comes, giving the message :

start booting from usb device ...

but it remains on this page and nothing further happens.

I tried the same flash on another system and it booted completely.
it shows that the USB is written correctly and it must be something wrong with my system.

Thanks for your help !

Thanks.

I have tried it with all 4 usb ports, that my laptop has them, but still no go.

by the way, i have no problems with using USB in windows, so i think the problem can t be because of the USB ports.

Reset the BIOS to defaults, first taking note of SATA controller and USB legacy setting: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Then set HDD to boot first, trigger USB stick to boot using one-time BIOS Boot menu Key given on first screen, under USB, HD's, or Removable. You may have to expand a choice to see it.

Is the USB stick listed at all when you go to the one-time Boot menu? Remember that Legacy USB needs to be enabled in the BIOS - try toggling it (i.e. set it to disabled, save, reboot, set to enabled, save, reboot).

Try booting the installer on another PC to see if it loads correctly and cues up to the Install Now button.

If not write a new ISO for your licensed version to stick using Ultra or the MS Download tool. Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Next try DVD or another flash stick.
