What software to use with SSD clone and for backup too? Many Choices!!

I failed to mention that this laptop came with Win 7 64bit Home Edition. I used the full installation version of Win 7 64bit Ultimate to upgrade to Ultimate.

I still have the Ultimate discs, key code, etc everything needed to do a fresh install on the SSD.

Post C:\Windows\System32\bcd.txt. You may delete that file afterwards. I just want to know if there are no references anymore to "system reserved".

I don't have the SSD installed yet. So, it is OK to do this command prompt now, correct?

Then delete it

In screenshot I see a very very small FAT32 partition. Used to RECOVER to factory settings I assume. RECOVER is the real RECOVERY partition. You need them to got to restore to factory settings. But you most likely will never use thme . Because

You lose everything!!!
You make backups...do you?
You can easily reinstall using win7 install DVD

I want to so bcdedit output. Because active partition (boot partition) was first RECOVERY and you tansfered boot stuff.... most likely some bootmenu stuff is still be pointing to RECOVERY. If I see it, I can intruct you how to repair that. After that WIN7 and BOOT stuff are all on C (label OS). Used space is 69GB so will fit easily on SSD. How large will your SSD be?

Did I monk up when I moved it? It is mentioned in one of whs's tutoriols: SSD - Install and Transfer the Operating System

My SSD is a 512 GB SSD. It has plenty of space.

System boot from partition OS. But 1 entry in bcd still points to partition RECOVERY. I think you want to get rid of RECOVERY(?) because you can clean reinstall anyway if you want. If so:

In elevated command prompt:

Code:

reagentc/disable

Delete partition RECOVERY (for example using AOMEI). Then reboot. Then

In elevated command prompt:

Code:

reagentc/enable

Post bcdedit/enum all output again
