Turn on autoplay for camera card insertion?

Dad just called and wants to know why his Fuji camera card isn't bringing up a box to import pictures when he plugs it into PC. I connected and sure enough the card is in Computer as a drive and readable, but apparently the autoplay setting has been lost after his printer was installed last week.

I'm in the Default Programs>Change AutoPlay settings but don't see exactly which one would be for the cam card, and am not sure about choosing Use Autoplay for all Media and Devices if that will scramble other defaults?

Here is how the defaults were set:

Here is how I'm inclined to reset them:

Any guidance from someone who's been through this is appreciated.

I would change import pictures to ask me everytime, that`s a safe bet.

He wants a box to pop up offering to import the pictures to his Pictures folder. Looks like that's the Pictures choice to Import Pictures and Videos using Windows.

But the Pictures setting had been set Before to Always Ask Me and he was getting nothing, so I hope the HP printer bloatware didn't jimmy these defaults.

I would want the explorer window choice myself but he doesn't want to have to drag them to Pictures.

If you set it to ask everytime, the window should pop up, then he should be able to reset it to import again.

Greg, have him look in 'Computer' and see if the card or USB device shows up .... if it does, right click on the icon and it will (or it should) have the menu he wants to see.
That's what I have to do with my camera in order to "import".

Oh! if he's plugging the camera in, using the USB port, he will have to have the camera turned off first... then plug it in, then turn the camera on.

I just heard back from Dad that the card now opens the autoplay settings to Import pictures, the way he wants it.

It looks like changing the Default in Control Panel for Pictures to Import Pictures if what he wanted.

    Thanks all!
