I'm just wondering if Windows 7 still supports PCMCIA cards - modern laptops don't have these anymore but these were standard in older laptops (often had 2 of these).
Not sure if I'll get PCMCIA support. Anybody know if Windows 7 has this support in it. I use one of these cards in the laptop to provide USB 2.0 support -- the built in USB is only 1.1.
The cardbus hardware standard is not an issue with 7 and any laptop. Now, drivers for individual cards can be a problem, especially 64 bit drivers. (not likely to need 64 bit drivers with an old laptop) I would suggest you go to this site: Windows Vista Compatibility Center
and find your USB PCMCIA card. If there are Vista drivers for it, you should be OK for 7.
