    Some help selecting memory please

This new stuff is confusing to me but here goes:

Here are two different memory sticks that seem to be what my motherboard requires:

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

Are these interchangeable and what are the differences?

I am getting ready to order but need to order the proper memory.

This is the motherboard which is already installed in the case:

    Newegg.com - ASRock B75M-GL LGA 1155 Intel B75 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

    Thanks for reading this.:)

    Thanks for the fast response.

So, they are essentially the same?

    What is the difference?

No Pauly, I never saw it. I feel much better now.

Problem in my town is that I have no one to ask. I appreciate your response.

No problem, Yes they are essentially the same however I believe the 'X' in the higher performance range if you understand. They are both the same size and both the same speed however for $2/$3 more you might as well go for them :)

Thanks DocBrown. I'll order 8 gigs today and the CPU will be here Thursday.

Then, with fingers crossed, I will assemble the computer.

Still need to decide---Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Depends what you want to do. Keep in mind some programs will not or will not work properly on Windows 8 yet.
