    USB device not recognised.


    Hi,i have a dell laptop with these specs-
    i3 m370
    3GB ram
    320GB hdd
    win 7 ultimate x86.
    my laptop is not showing any usb device connected.for example,when i am connecting my galaxy s3 to the laptop,the phone starts charging but there is no device shown in my computers.same is the problem with pen drives.please help me.thanks.

    Hello and welcome Nas mate cehck in Control Panel > Admin tools > Computer Management > Disk Management and see what comes up it should look like mine in the pic.

    Hi, Go to Device Manager and check what's appearing under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
    Or any unknown device under Other Devices.
    If you see any such device, right click on it and click on Update Driver Software. Then click Search Automatically... It should update the driver.

    P.S. Since you're using Galaxy S3, install Samsung Kies software from here. This will install all the required drivers.

    @Dinesh,i am able to connect my younger brother's xperia u just fine.it shows up like this-

    i am facing this problem with flash drives too.when i connect any flash drive,it does not shows up any thing.

    dinesh,yes i did,but even when my s3 is connected,it shows that please connect a device :/

    P.S. Pls dont be offended when I start my sentence with "Try this".
    As you are aware, there is no possible and straight fix to such issues. Hence we are doing "Trial and Error" method. :)

    i appreciate your help,but the problem is not limited to the phone,i am unable to use any of my pen drives.i don't know but may be did i clicked on any wrong option that is causing the problem? can you guess something?
