    USB previously working not recognized

    Hi everybody,

I read the topics in the forum, but I did not found something that suits my needs, so I start a new thread.

    I'm running a Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit on a nHP EliteBook 8470p laptop, and I'm experiencing a strange issue.
Connecting a USB device to the port, it works properly for some time. At a certain moment, while it is still plugged, I get an error of USB malfunction (code 43).
Since then, when I try to reconnect the device, it always failed with the below error message:

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

and I'm not able to succesfully reconnect device to my laptop any more.

The same things happened with two different USB devices, a pendrive and an external HDD.
In addiciton, I've tried both of them on two other different laptops running the same OS (Win 7 Enterprise 64bit), and they work without any issue.

Can anyone help me with any idea?

    Thanks a lot

    Matteo

Thanks a lot ICit2lol for your suggest, but I have already tried that way and it doesn't work.

    Anyway, I have some update.
After further investigation and some attempts, I think that the real issue I'm experiencing is the following:

The system somehow loses the drivers for the USB device (actually only storage devices, mouse and keyboard is working properly), and did not recognize them any more.
In addiction, when I reconnect the device, system fails in installing drivers. The same happens with PC which device has never been connected to (i.e. my colleague one), but not with PC which device is usually connected to (i.e. my two other PC I mentioned before).

    Again, thanks for any idea...
