HP Mini 5103 Ethernet is automatically disabling on battery power mode

Hello guys. I have a little issue here. I've got a HP Mini 5103 netbook and I am using Ethernet connection for internet.
The problem is that every time when I am unplugging the the charger from the laptop (meaning: laptop is working on battery power).
I suppose it is some kind of power saving option, but the fact remains that it's totally sucks, cuz then I have to keep the charger plunged all the time.
I tried to check the Advanced power settings, but there is no option to change Ethernet power settings, also I checked in the Devise Manager in Advanced menu of the Ethernet,, but again no luck to find a setting that would disable that function.
Pleas if you know anything about this problem,, help me out here :)
    Thanks

Hikeman, have you tried the power settings in control panel?
Also, you are checking the power settings while running as administrator?

device manager. for the ethernet card should have a power settings tab if your in admin mode.
Also, you might check the bios settings for power.
