Only reason I didn't mention Kodak is their on-going bankruptcy problems. Still haven't heard anything definitive on what's going to happen or if it will affect its product lines.

Epson has a good reputation in the business sector. Particularly the Workforce series of all in ones. (The Workforce Pro series will probably be out of your price range. However, something to consider is the fact that you are a "valued Epson customer". As such, perhaps Epson would reward your loyalty by issuing a coupon or voucher good for a discount towards an upgrade purchase. Never hurts to ask.)

Oh I am so glad you did mention it as I had no idea and you won't be able to get ink going to ask Epson for a voucher mate. Tanks again

Kodak's problems haven't received widespread news coverage. Our economy is still in a recovery mode and any negative coverage could affect the world-wide stock market. Hope you get a great deal on a new printer. And it sounds like pebbly's CISS could help with the ink costs. All the best in your quest. :)

Hello Bill and welcome to Seven Forums.

If this particular printer has a separate print head then it could be clogged with old, dried up ink. But if the ink cartridges are the print head, it may have something to do with alignment of the print head with the paper, or the circuitry that allows the printer to communicate with the cartridges, or the heater.
